Since March 2013, we have been building a small zoo with sheep, Dutch dwarf goats, and donkeys.
We had also planned to bring in alpacas, but in the end, we abandoned that plan.
After several years of running the hotel, we discovered that the most communicative, child-friendly,
and low-maintenance animals in our zoo are the dwarf goats. Additionally, they are a local symbol.
The goat’s head dominates the summit of Geißkopf, which is just a few minutes’ walk from our hotel,
and the goat is also the mascot of all local athletes, especially football players, skiers, and cyclists.
For this reason, we decided to sell all other animals at the end of 2024 and keep only ducks and dwarf goats.
With these small goats, you and your children can not only watch them but also pet and feed them. We believe
that direct contact between humans and animals has a beneficial effect on mental well-being..
Children have also fallen in love with our little Pomeranian, James. He loves to cuddle and is happy to join you for a walk.
For our guests, borrowing animals is, of course, completely FREE of charge.
